I've been using to carry my stuff to go to work for the last few weeks and it's doing a great job carrying everything I need : laptop, keyboard, mouse, headset, even a small lunch box and my indoor shoes!

Bought to use this as a travel backpack, and the OG one is way bigger than what I want. I will start out by saying that the build quality is amazing, if a little on the heavy side, and it looks really good. It is also quite comfortable even for me at about 6’2” ~220 lbs. I really like all the features packed in the bag, but the execution is a little off. Because of how the pockets are laid out, and the sheer amount of padding, you really can’t fit nearly as much in the bag as you ought to be able to. I understand padding for a laptop, but in my opinion, this is very much overkill. The thick padding between the 2 compartments seems totally unnecessary to me, and I may do some modifications to remove some of this redundant padding. The side water bottle pockets could really use a little bit more material, or give as the 40oz LTT doesn’t fit very well, and then impacts the amount of useable interior space.

All in all, it is a great little bag, but it is definitely smaller than expected, but I can’t give it more than 3 stars due to the marketing. I was very surprised of how LITTLE I could fit into the bag, so the marketing claim of “surprising amount of storage” is accurate, but not in the way that it was meant. My old 18L backpack had much more useable space than this one. It’s definitely a situation of the bag being overbuilt to the point that it negatively affects its usability for me. It would probably make a really good school bag, but didn’t meet my expectations of space.

Commuter backpack is much more practical for me than the regular one. Lots of space and pockets for my stuff and the materials feel high quality/durable. Would like the carabiner zipper instead, but this is still good for saving on costs.

Very happy with my backpack. I have a 14" MacBook Pro and it fits very well, as well as my accessories, lunch/snacks, sweater, and everything I need for a day at work. Lots of room for my accessories and good sized water bottle(s). It's also clearly well-built and made of quality materials. I will be taking this backpack on a 23-day work trip in August and expect it to hold up very well! I wish I could give 4.5 stars, but do have to go with 4 because it's not quite perfect.

I would love a few small improvements...

First, a little more give/stretch in the internal organizers/pockets. It can be hard to pack things into some of the pockets sometimes, since the internal storage is so tight.

Second, better stand-up balance on its own, mine often falls onto the strap side if gently bumped, and sometimes falls even on its own.

It's a good backpack, and a much better size for daily use than the original. It'll nicely replace my aging Timbuk2 one.

(I've used it to carry my 16" MBP with no trouble despite it being a snug fit.)
